On our day off yesterday, Gregg and I hiked up Garnet Canyon to The Meadows. At 9400 feet, it’s often used as a staging area and campground for climbers about to attempt the Middle Teton. This mountain had been a looming presence in so many of our hikes, so it was incredibly cool to get this close to it and chat with some folks about to climb it — including a chance encounter with a pair of old Williams classmates who were on their honeymoon!
This class has had such a good time together. I can’t believe we have just one more day left in camp.

Fantastic four days in the park. Didn’t get mauled by any grizzly bears, though we were on that trail the day before it happened. Photos forthcoming.
Like I said, not roughing it. Isn’t this a gorgeous little space?
Hiked up Cascade Canyon yesterday. Lots of snow and great views.
